When the concept of Web Conferencing came to existence people were unaware of the fact that this strategy is going to bring around a drastic change in the corporate world as well as Govt sector. I was one of those awestruck people who were not able to digest this concept. I used to think how the things can click this way, but today when I look around I feel little ashamed and I just whisper to myself that how very wrong I was. I remember the days when my brother who is a bank manager used to shuttle from his office to head office in the neighboring city when ever he had to hold a meeting with his juniors or seniors. He used to undertake those 4 to 5 hrs journey thrice every week. But with introduction of Video Conference the whole face of banking has changed. Now every meeting is held over at computers. Te officers are now not supposed to travel to other cities for meetings and conferences. This has brought a new era –the officers are able to contribute more of their time and energy to the branch they work for-thus bringing prosperity to banks. I have talked about banking but this change has occurred in almost all the private and govt sectors. Even Audio Conferencing is considered to be something very beneficial- a phone call can be much more than just being a phone call. In the present world when distances all over the word have shrunk- if communication is held over phones it can bring multiple parties close –anywhere and anytime.
