Why Selling links is bad

Posted by admin On July - 31 - 2009

One of the most extensive (and profitable) business in the blogosphere in general is reflected in the market for buying and selling links. Sites that are dedicated to bringing together advertisers and publishers are increasing … but is it legal?

There is nothing illegal in buying and selling links, it is a business like any other. So why should we care? For the eternal vigilance: Google.

Google does not like the market for buying and selling of links, the reason is that it sees a way of manipulating the results of its search engine, and it is. The way how to organize the results of the Google search engine depends largely on the quantity of inbound links you might have a blog entry on the blog itself or themselves.

Google is the one that gives the index by which many died, the green bar that increases the ego of some others and it provides economic benefits to all who know him. Obviously I mean the page rank.

All about Gravatar

Posted by admin On July - 6 - 2009

Gravatar stands for globally recognized avatar, a global recognition system for avatars that advocates a change in how we take our picture on the Internet. Gravatar is free, easy to use and integrates into virtually any platform.

Just in case anyone is unclear what an avatar,it is an image that we show to identify somewhere, may be our picture, a drawing, a curious image.

Wordpress is one of the platforms that has achieved rapid growth and full integration with Gravatar, so that there is a Gravatar plugin, but it is not necessary at all, because Wordpresss and comes with an integrated detection system.

Where and how to get my Gravatar?

As I mentioned Gravatar is free, you need to open an account on Gravatar website and then upload an image, determine the permissions of who can view it (general public, adults only, etc.). And nothing more. You can even have multiple avatars uploaded on your website and you enable one by one, for example, by seasons or moods, as you want.

Stop those spam blogs

Posted by admin On May - 1 - 2009

There are plenty of web spam blogs, those who merely copy information from the feeds of other blogs, and more than once we have gotten as phosphorescent gray impunity take over content, often without referencing. However today how to take prevent these spam blogs that fill up the content of our RSS feeds automatically.

The worst thing is the fact that you do not get a trackback, but Google to index your content can be considered duplicate content as our website and leave their search results. This can happen because ever have trouble finding the original source so results for bloggers would be disastrous.

How can we solve this problem? The idea is quite simple, involves placing a link to our feed to original source, this is our blog. Since it would be very cumbersome to walk in this place all the entries we can feed our editing, both for Blogger to Wordpress. This will stop the automation process at least.

IS Google dying?

Posted by admin On April - 23 - 2009

At least that’s the phrase that I have found that better reflected the sentiments of many bloggers and readers today. The words of the title does not refer to any of its important services to fail again, or if they were made to tweak Youtube. No!

If you are aware of events within the blogosphere and have read posts that talk about the new mind tool that Google Adsense is still in beta (though we no longer know what to call beta at this time), just released from the blog Google official said that where:

As part of a beta test, over the coming months we will begin to offer advertising in interest to a limited number of advertisers in order to extend the offer for 2009. If the goal of an advertiser is to increase the public perception of a brand or stimulate reactions to advertisements, these features can help expand the success of your campaigns and your profits increase as does the involvement of advertisers.

To develop the categories of interest, identify types of web pages that users visit surfing the AdSense content network. For example, if you visit many sites of sports, will add to the category of “amateur sport”.

Google has begun to dominate everything, we may monitor or maybe, just maybe, the future of the Internet with a Googlezon leads to our destruction or complete dominance.

What we must remember is that Google is no longer the standard bearer for Web 2.0, angel with wings that we freed from tyranny incandescent (and even non-existent) of Bill Gates and Microsoft. Its free services are becoming increasingly invasive, with Google Chrome (in open quarrel with Firefox), Google CheckOut with its customers for Paypal.

Until the day I met Stallman, founder of GNU, I asked him if something was helping and his answer was: Yes, do something. Not sounded very convincing, but in my personal opinion, I consider being a vital step to believe in the rights of a kind creations web and digital.
